Zimbabwean Business Guru Masiiwa Strive Strikes Again Against Zim Government

Unlike in the past spiritual and physical battles of years against Zimbabwe government  that gave birth to the now Zimbabwe`s biggest network provider Econet, This time around the renowned econet lawyer Tawanda Nyambirai meant nothing else but serious business.

Kwese TV briefly alighted the country`s airwaves, but it was not long before the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe invoked the draconian law against Kwese TV. Effectively stopping and banning Kwese operations in Zimbabwean boarders. As if it was not enough, the authority cancelled the broadcasting licence for the Strive Masiyiwa owned initiative Kwese TV.

The action by BAZ left Masiiwa and partners with no other option than to knock at the Zimbabwe High Court Chambers. History repeated itself when Kwese won their urgent court application against the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe.

This effectively means that Kwese TV will be going back live on air any time now, as the cancellation has been revoked.

Kwese TV has been wanting to get into the Zimbabwean airway for some time now and has faced a couple of hiccups, first with ZBC and then most recently the Dr. Dish saga.

Interestingly, though the name ‘Kwese’ has a Zimbabwean feel to it, ‘kwese’ means everywhere in Zimbabwe’s native language Shona, it has taken only to launch locally, while other countries have had the privilege of enjoying the service.
